Abstract

Mual dan muntah ketika hamil adalah salah satu gejala yang sering dikeluhkan pada masa awal kehamilan dan mengganggu ibu hamil. Pada ibu hamil banyak yang memilih menggunakan obat herbal dibandingkan dengan obat bahan kimia, karena mengingat potensi efek samping bahan kimia yang dapat membahayakan kondisi janin. Jahe sebagai salah satu obat herbal yang dipakai untuk menangani gejala mual muntah pada kehamilan.  Mengetahui efektifitas dari rebusan jahe untuk pengobatan mual muntah pada ibu hamil trimester I. Design Penelitian yang dipakai yaitu quasy eksperimen dengan pre and post test with control group design dengan jumlah sampel 30 ibu hamil di desa Kopang Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kopang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data mual muntah diukur menggunakan kuesioner Pregnancy Unique Quantification of Emesis and Nausea (PUQE). Sedangkan analisis yang digunakan menggunakan uji Man Whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terjadinya penurunan gejala mual muntah pada ibu hamil sesudah diberikan rebusan jahe dengan nilai p-value = 0,041 < 0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan gejala mual muntah pada ibu hamil yang diberikan rebusan jahe. Jahe secara signifikan dapat meredakan gejala umum mual muntah dari gejala ringan sampai sedang.
